Technology One has established the Team Australia Fund program with the objective of supporting and advancing research and development programs within Australia, by providing financial support (Grant Amounts) to eligible programs (Grantees) that have been put at risk by the withdrawal of previously committed research funds following policy changes in the United States (Fund Objective).

From time to time, other contributors may provide funding for the Team Australia Fund program in furtherance of the Fund Objective.

Successful applicants will be required to enter into a Grant Agreement with Technology One and any contributors.

This application will be considered and determined by the **Advisory Committee to the Australia Fund program** (Advisory Committee).
  1. General
    1. References to the Advisory Committee in this document are to be read as references to each member comprising the Advisory Committee, jointly and severally.
    2. The Advisory Committee reserves the right to withdraw or suspend this procurement/proposal process at any stage, at its sole discretion.
    3. The Advisory Committee is not liable to any claim or payment, against any expenditure, direct or indirect, incurred by the applicant, during preparation of its application.
    4. The Advisory Committee reserves the right to:
      1. reject any application;
      2. close the right to submit applications at any time before the Closing Date, without giving any reason or communicating such closure to any person;
      3. accept late applications;
      4. accept any applications which do not otherwise comply with the terms of this request for application;
      5. withdraw this request for application or issue a new request for applications;
      6. vary the terms of this request for applications;
      7. negotiate directly with any person before or after the Closing Date;
      8. discuss with each applicant details of its application;
      9. proceed with the project on the basis of a different scope and performance requirements that differ to those set out in this request for application; and
      10. vary the application selection process set out in this request for application.
    5. In addition to its rights above, the Advisory Committee may decline to consider or accept any application from an applicant who does not satisfy the Advisory Committee of the applicant’s ability to complete the application in accordance with its terms. The Advisory Committee expects all applicants to behave in a courteous and professional manner and will not tolerate harassment or bullying from applicants. The Advisory Committee may exclude applicants who exhibit unacceptable behaviour from this application process.
    6. The Advisory Committee is not obliged to disclose the nature of any negotiations, amendments, alterations, additions or other changes provided to an applicant, nor to offer or accept the same or equivalent amendments, alterations or other changes to other applicants.
    7. Applicants are required to provide sufficient information so that all applications can be evaluated. The Advisory Committee will not make any assumptions during consideration of applications.
  2. Evaluation
    1. Selection will be based on the applicant’s completion and submission of this application form.
    2. Submissions will be evaluated by the Advisory Committee according to the **Mandatory Criteria** set out in this request for applications.
    3. In the evaluation of applications, the Advisory Committee may:
      1. have regard to knowledge and previous experience and dealings with an applicant;
      2. have regard to information about past and current performance of an applicant, including under any contract, arrangement or dealing with the applicant; and
      3. obtain and rely upon advice from any third party in respect of any legal, technical or financial matter.
    4. The Advisory Committee may waive compliance with any of the terms of this request for applications and consider and accept any applications which do not conform with these terms.
    5. The Advisory Committee may require an applicant to provide such further information as it requires in order to consider the applicant’s materials and, if so required, the applicant must promptly provide such information.
  3. Confidentiality
    1. The contents of this request for applications and all other information and materials provided to you by or on behalf of the Advisory Committee or Technology One relating to this application, including information provided prior to the release of this document, are **confidential** to the Advisory Committee or Technology One respectively, to the extent such information and materials are not publicly available or in the public domain at the time disclosed.
    2. The applicant must not use copy, reproduce, distribute or disclose such information or materials (except to its employees, agents, contractors and advisers for the sole purpose of enabling it to submit an application).
  4. Privacy
    1. Technology One and the Advisory Committee will collect the applicant’s personal information for the purposes of administering this request for applications, including corresponding with the applicant about this application and evaluating the application. If the applicant chooses not to provide some or all the required personal information, the Advisory Committee may not be able to consider the application.
    2. Technology One may disclose the applicant’s personal information to its related entities, international offices, and representatives and third parties for the purpose of its business only (including the Advisory Committee). The terms under which Technology One collect, use, handle and disclose personal information, including to locations outside Australia, is as set out in our Privacy Policy.
  5. Binding Agreement
    1. An applicant will not be deemed to have been accepted by Technology One, nor any agreement arise between an applicant and Technology One, until the successful applicant and Technology One[ and if applicable any contributors] enter into the **Grant Agreement**.
    2. This request for applications does not form a contract between Technology One and the applicant.
