Boutique retirement living operator Baldwin Living has achieved a transformation of its IT infrastructure in just 9 months, embracing Australian Made innovation to meet surging demands for in-home and community aged care.
Baldwin Living rapidly replaced its outdated system to provide the scalability to meet increasing compliance and reporting scrutiny by partnering with local Software as a Service (SaaS) provider TechnologyOne to take advantage of its unique SaaS+ delivery model.
Australian aged care facilities already average 88% occupancy and the number of Australians aged 85 and over is set to double by 2042, meaning the Federal Government is increasingly relying on independent living operators to the fill gap.
Godwin Muscat, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary at Baldwin Living said, “The Government is funding more in-home care and even looking at independent retirement living operators like us to fill the gap when public aged care beds aren’t available. It means increasing regulation and more pressure on our systems.”
Baldwin Living went live with TechnologyOne Financials at the start of the new financial year, establishing a single source of truth and real-time visibility of spending, empowering head office and village administrative teams to boost operational efficiency and auditability at speed.
“We currently manage government funding claims on behalf of over 200 home care clients and we’re executing on a strong pipeline of acquisitions. By moving to TechnologyOne Financials we’ve set ourselves up to handle that with the same team, just smarter systems,” Mr Muscat said.
Balwin Living will also expand its TechnologyOne footprint in the coming months to support its growth, introducing TechnologyOne AP Automations to drastically reduce time spent manually entering data and processing costs.
TechnologyOne is the only Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) vender globally that can deliver business essential software through the SaaS+ model, which eliminates core implementation fees to encourage faster value delivery by creating a shared incentive to deliver on time and on budget.
Ed Chung, Chief Executive at TechnologyOne said, “As an Australian ERP provider we have had to innovate to compete against multi-national vendors from around the world. Our customers deliver essential community services, which is why we are so invested in their success. TechnologyOne redefined the software delivery process through SaaS+ to reduce the risks of implementation failure.”
“We are so proud to partner with Baldwin Living as they step up operations to meet the needs of their community and broader industry now and into the future.”
