Australia’s leading university for student experience for more than two decades, Bond University, has successfully migrated to local enterprise software provider TechnologyOne’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) OneEducation solution as part of its ongoing strategy to deliver transformational learning experiences to its students.

Expanding on its 25-year-long partnership with TechnologyOne, the move from on-premise to SaaS was the logical next step in Bond University’s digital transformation journey. The final transition to SaaS took 72 hours, with TechnologyOne resources across Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and the UK working around the clock with the university’s dedicated business and IT teams to ensure all work was completed during the critical weekend timeframe.

Rather than being an on-premise application lifted and shifted to the cloud, which can reduce speed and compromise user experience and security, OneEducation was designed for the world of SaaS, enabling institutions to operate more efficiently. Featuring Student Management, the solution will help the university maintain its high student satisfaction rating by providing a foundation to manage the entire student journey from enrolment to graduation and everything in between using any device, anywhere, at any time.

Bond University Registrar, Louise Batchelor said: "Migrating our legacy platform to TechnologyOne’s modern SaaS solution was an investment into our future. It not only allows us to harness the latest advancements in technology but also ensures scalability, flexibility, and enhanced security for years to come. This strategic move positions us to better adapt to evolving student needs, stay ahead of industry trends, and ultimately, deliver a world-class educational experience that sets our institution apart."

“Our seamless transition onto the cloud is a testament to the strength of our partnership with TechnologyOne and the unwavering support and expertise of our teams.”

TechnologyOne Industry Director for Higher Education Peter Nikoletatos, said: "We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Bond University, this milestone not only solidifies our commitment to supporting the university's vision for innovation and excellence but also reinforces our shared dedication to providing students and staff with the tools they need to succeed in today's dynamic educational landscape.”

“Institutions like Bond University know that managing the student relationship isn’t just about getting them in – it’s also about keeping them engaged. We know from campuses that show dedication to student wellbeing that it increases academic performance, retention, and graduation rates. Considering this, the economics of investing in a modern, future proof student information system solution to help keep track of a student’s engagement and progression add up.”

TechnologyOne has been providing management solutions for universities globally for over 36 years, partnering with more than 90 per cent of Australian universities and 99 per cent of customers transitioning to SaaS.
