Redland City Council’s frontline staff are already experiencing the time-saving benefits of smarter systems - freeing them up to better support the city’s 160,000 residents.
Council has worked with long-time local partner TechnologyOne to progressively consolidate and upgrade legacy systems to transform its day-to-day operations.
Residents will see new digital services rolled out over the coming years, including TechnologyOne’s innovative Digital Experience Platform for Local Government (DxP LG), empowering both Council staff and residents to easily connect to the information they need, enabling users to enjoy the speed and efficiency of access to self-serve services, available 24/7.
DxP LG enables councils to deliver more inclusive, intuitive and accessible digital services to their communities by reducing administrative overheads to allow staff to focus on delivering the human touch that remains so vital when providing effective and efficient community services.
TechnologyOne’s Enterprise Asset Management will also play a pivotal role in the council’s delivery of essential infrastructure, providing a single source of truth into the cost and performance of every asset from planning to maintenance to decommission.
Jos Mitchell, Redland City Mayor, said: “The availability of user-friendly systems enhanced our customers’ experience. Expanding Council’s digital services over the coming years is being undertaken to benefit both customers and staff. It also continues Council’s transparency journey, which I know the community wants.”
Louise Rusan, Chief Executive Officer, Redland City Council said: “Embracing a complete business transformation was going to be a huge undertaking, but removing limitations was key to Council becoming more agile and responsive. Fortunately, our long partnership with TechnologyOne gave us great confidence in the product roadmap and our shared vision for the future.
“Our community’s expectations are changing, our population is growing, and new risks are emerging, so it was vital we kept up with the changes. We still have a long road ahead of us, but the hard work is already starting to pay off.”
Ben Malpass, EVP for Local Government at TechnologyOne added: “Successfully managing a transformation on this scale, while still operating business as usual, is testament to Redlands commitment to improving their residents’ experience. The collaboration and mutually aligned objective to bring their goal of frictionless digital experiences to life for their community is very exciting and a testament to our 28-year partnership.
