Southern Cross Care SA, NT & VIC Inc (SCC), South Australia’s largest not-for-profit aged care and retirement living provider has chosen TechnologyOne's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) OneBase solution to support the organisation. The platform includes TechnologyOne Plus and Invoice IQ, to connect finance, asset and care information across the organisation. The goal is to reduce manual administration and give leaders a clearer view of their operations as aged care reform continues to reshape the sector.
SCC supports more than 8,600 people across 17 residential aged care homes, 40 retirement villages and Homes Services across South Australia, the Northern Territory and Victoria. As it enters its next phase of growth, the organisation is focused on building the visibility and operational foundations needed to grow sustainably and continue supporting its communities.
The new Aged Care Act and Support at Home program in place since November 2025 have lifted expectations around financial reporting, accountability and transparency. At the same time, workforce pressures mean every hour spent on administration is an hour not spent on care. As a result, many providers are reassessing the systems that support their corporate functions.
The agreement includes TechnologyOne’s OneBase solution, alongside TechnologyOne Plus, AI-powered experiences and invoice processing through InvoiceIQ, as well as an integration with SCC’s care management platform, AlayaCare Residential.
TechnologyOne’s Plus will make it easier for SCC employees to find information, complete tasks and interact with their enterprise by simply asking questions. Invoice IQ uses AI to capture and process supplier invoices and reduces manual data entry for finance teams. Together, these capabilities will connect key business processes and make it easier to access important information.
SCC’s Executive of Finance Transformation and Governance, Jing Fang, said the organisation was investing in technology to build the foundations for its future growth.
"We wanted to find more than just a system, we wanted a strategic partner. TechnologyOne brings deep experience in the aged care sector, a willingness to invest and innovate with us, and the capability to help us do the heavy lifting as we transform the way we work. We’re excited about what this partnership will make possible for our people and the future of Southern Cross Care.”
TechnologyOne’s Executive Vice President of Regulated Industries, Cale Bennett, said connected and scalable technology is increasingly important as providers respond to changing expectations.
“Aged care providers can’t meet tomorrow's expectations with yesterday's systems. Boards are tasked with greater accountability, more transparency and better stewardship of their assets, and that’s hard to deliver when information is spread across disconnected systems. SCC is simplifying how work gets done, and bringing together AI, automation and connected business processes to create a strong future for growth and care delivery.”
