International certification reinforces TechnologyOne’s commitment to secure, responsible, and ethical use of AI
TechnologyOne Australia’s largest homegrown ERP Software as a Service (SaaS) company, has achieved ISO 42001:2023 certification, the world’s first global standard for Artificial Intelligent Management Systems.
TechnologyOne’s vision to build human-centred, AI-powered solutions is now underpinned by a robust, internationally recognised framework that ensures the highest standards of responsible AI and AI governance across research and development (R&D).
Certification to the new international standard reinforces TechnologyOne’s commitment to responsible and ethical use of AI, ensuring all software is responsibly developed, designed and deployed. This achievement will help foster trust and comfort in AI against a rapidly evolving technology backdrop.
Chandan Potukuchi, Chief Technology Officer at TechnologyOne, said: “TechnologyOne is at the forefront of innovation and the highest standard of Security and Compliance. You can trust that when you partner with us. As we continue to harness the capabilities and benefits of AI within our solutions, maintaining the trust of our customers is fundamental. Achieving this standard not only reinforces our ability to balance the risk of early adoption against the transformation of innovation, but it gives our customers confidence in our AI-driven products that create value for their communities.”
With just a handful of Australian companies achieving the new ISO 42001 standard to date, TechnologyOne was required to seek an overseas audit partner to complete the process. Leveraging its deep industry expertise and existing compliance program, TechnologyOne attained the certification in just five months.
“Achieving certification of TechnologyOne’s AI Management System isn’t just a tick box exercise, it’s central to our business roadmap, ongoing innovation and building trust at scale,” said Mr Potukuchi.
“Bringing transparency, trust and traceability to a landscape that is outpacing legislative frameworks is pivotal for the future of AI.”
This achievement builds on TechnologyOne’s existing compliance program and suite of international certifications, assessments, and accreditations, including SOC 1, 2 and 3, ASD Essential 8, IRAP – PROTECTED, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001.
TechnologyOne has built its success on a relentless commitment to R&D, reinvesting over 25 per cent of revenue each year to deliver real productivity gains for local governments, higher education institutions and government agencies.
As the largest Australian-owned R&D centres for enterprise software, TechnologyOne employs over 400 Australian developers and fosters a thriving innovation hub in Brisbane.
