TechnologyOne has been inducted into the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame, one of the state's highest business honours, recognising nearly 4 decades of Australian innovation, digital sovereignty and community impact.

TechnologyOne Chief Executive Officer Ed Chung accepted the induction at a gala event in Brisbane, dedicating the honour to the people who built the company.

"This award doesn't belong to a logo or a share price. It belongs to our people. It belongs to the engineers, the consultants, the support teams and the innovators who turned an impossible idea in a Brisbane demountable into a global software company trusted by organisations around the world," Mr Chung said.

TechnologyOne was founded by Adrian Di Marco in 1987 with the conviction that Australians could build world-class enterprise softwarefrom home. That founding ambition, to eliminate costly customisation and give customers software that simply works, remains central to how TechnologyOne innovates today.

"I started TechnologyOne with the belief that Australians could build enterprise software better than anywhere in the world. "To be recognised by the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame is deeply humbling,” said Mr Di Marco, Founder and former CEO.

From those beginnings, TechnologyOne has grown into an ASX Top 100 company with offices in 6 countries, powering more than 1,300 councils, universities, government agencies and corporations across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Its industry-leading customer retention rate of more than 99%, sustained over decades, reflects the strength of its Power of One model, where TechnologyOne builds, sells, implements and supports its own software, taking full accountability for customer outcomes.

Mr Chung said the company's most exciting chapter is still being written.

"TechnologyOne was built on the belief that Australian technology can compete with anyone in the world. Our job now is to take that foundation and build the next generation of AI-powered, sovereign enterprise software that serves communities for decades to come."

That next generation is already in customers' hands: Plus, TechnologyOne’s AI assistant lets organisations interact with their data conversationally, while Guide provides intelligent, in-context support across complex workflows. TechnologyOne also holds IRAP PROTECTED certification from the Australian Signals Directorate and ISO/IEC 27001 information security certification. In 2025, it became one of the first enterprise software providers globally to achieve ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for AI management systems.

The induction also recognises TechnologyOne's community impact. Through the TechnologyOne Foundation, the company donates one per cent of new annual recurring revenue to charity partners and provides every employee with 2.5 paid volunteer days each year.

The Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame is a partnership between QUT and the State Library of Queensland, honouring individuals and organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to the state's development.
