The University of Otago - Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka, New Zealand’s oldest university, will soon deliver a more connected experience for students and staff after selecting Curriculum Management, adding to its TechnologyOne product portfolio.

The University’s adoption of Curriculum Management will streamline the management of programme and paper information into a single source of truth. The solution will see improved visibility, accuracy, and efficiency across teams, ensuring the timely publication of curriculum information and laying the foundation for advanced planning tools for students in the future.

University of Otago Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Stuart Brock said, “Implementing Curriculum Management is a critical step in modernising our academic operations. It will give our staff and students greater visibility and access to accurate curriculum information, while streamlining processes behind the scenes. This partnership ensures we can deliver a more connected and efficient experience across the University.”

“What stands out is TechnologyOne’s collaborative, partnership-based approach, working alongside us to ensure cultural alignment as well as operational success,” Stuart said.

Mark Jones, Executive Vice President Education at TechnologyOne, said, “Our continued partnership with the University of Otago, which began in 2006, reflects a shared commitment to innovation in education. By adding Curriculum Management to their existing Education suite, Otago is moving closer to a fully unified academic environment that represents operational excellence and an outstanding student experience.”

“This milestone is a major step for TechnologyOne in higher education in ANZ. As our first Curriculum Management agreement since acquiring Courseloop, it reinforces TechnologyOne’s commitment to helping universities future-proof operations and deliver a unified, student-focused experience,” said Mark.

Founded in 1869, the University of Otago is renowned for its academic excellence and research leadership. It has partnered with TechnologyOne for 20 years, leveraging the company’s Higher Education solutions to support its digital transformation journey.
