The City of Canada Bay is rolling out TechnologyOne’s Local Government Digital Experience Platform (DxP LG), providing 24/7 access to faster, easier council services for its 90,000+ residents.
The move extends the Council’s decade-long partnership with Australia’s leading enterprise software provider and builds on years of digital transformation to deliver smarter, more accessible self-service tools.
A 2025 report into how Australians interact with digital public services revealed common pain points were increasing pressure on council call centres and offices, such as complex language, hard-to-find information, limited visibility on service progress, time-consuming processes, and a lack of timely human support.
DxP LG provides a single source of truth for council information, meaning the city can make instantaneous adjustments to the platform and ensure staff and resident resources reflect the most current and relevant information.
John Mantzios, Chief Digital & Information Officer at City of Canada Bay said, “The City of Canada Bay Council’s decision to extend our partnership with TechnologyOne reflects our commitment to a long-term digital transformation strategy. This engagement will enable us to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen data governance, deliver smarter, more connected, and customer-focused services for our community, ensuring we continue to provide innovative, reliable and sustainable outcomes for our residents and businesses.”
City of Canada Bay’s digital uplift demonstrates how local governments can streamline processes, find efficiencies, and achieve savings without compromising on customer experience.
Most recently, the City introduced TechnologyOne’s Property and Rating (P&R) product, providing residents with a centralised hub for payments, applications, search lodgements, and real-time progress tracking.
Underpinning the DxP rollout, the City will be uplifting its Property & Rating (P&R) platform to the latest CiA product.
Ben Malpass, EVP for Local Government at TechnologyOne, said, “We’re proud to continue our long partnership with the City of Canada Bay as they take the next step in their digital journey. This focus on improving service delivery gives residents even greater access to simple, online services and ensures the Council has the tools to respond quickly and effectively to the community."
More than 73 per cent of Australian and New Zealand residents live in a council powered by TechnologyOne software.
