Kumul Consolidated Holdings (KCH), Papua New Guinea's state-owned investment and asset management company, is using TechnologyOne’s Plus to provide leaders with faster access to financial and operational insights and strengthen decision-making around the public assets, investments and projects under its stewardship.
KCH oversees commercial assets and investments across sectors critical to Papua New Guinea’s economy, including power, telecommunications, aviation, banking and financial services, logistics, water and sanitation, agriculture, and major infrastructure projects.
As one of TechnologyOne's first Plus customers in the Pacific, KCH is live with Plus across finance, procurement and administration, enabling employees to interact with their data using voice conversation instead of traditional reports and dashboards. Employees can quickly identify top debtors with outstanding balances, generate supplier and creditor summaries, and create purchase requisitions, helping teams move faster from questions to action.
Kumul Consolidated Holdings’ Professor David Kavanamur, Managing Director, said they wanted to turn the potential of AI into practical value for its staff and the state.
“We manage assets and investments that play an important role in Papua New Guinea’s economy and the delivery of essential services. Plus gives our employees a fast and simple way to access the information they need to manage those assets effectively.”
Instead of building and analysing numerous reports, employees can ask Plus direct questions about KCH’s enterprise data. For example, users can quickly seek insights about outstanding debtor balances, helping teams move faster from questions to action.
KCH has also invested in staff education, hands-on learning and internal champions to prepare its workforce for AI adoption. This people-led approach has helped employees understand how AI can support their responsibilities and build confidence in using it within everyday operations.
TechnologyOne Executive Vice President Regulated Industries Cale Bennett, said KCH is embracing operational efficiency and economic development with Plus.
"KCH is demonstrating how organisations can move beyond Al experimentation and deliver measurable business outcomes. Through Plus, KCH employees can become ERP specialists with a zero-learning curve, using Al to accelerate analytical discovery, generate supplier insights, and streamline procurement processes.
“Built on TechnologyOne's ISO 42001-certified Al governance framework, Plus provides security, compliance and risk management required by government and regulated organisations. By embedding Al directly into ERP workflows, KCH is accelerating decision-making, improving operational efficiency, and realising value from Al sooner.”
KCH plans to extend its use of AI across the business as it continues its broader transformation journey and explores new ways to derive value from enterprise data.
