TechnologyOne Backs The Digital Transformation Agency New Framework

TechnologyOne, Australia's largest enterprise software company, has congratulated the Government and The Digital Transformation Agency who today released its Coordinated Contracting Arrangements (CCA) principles. The CCA has set out how the DTA will assess sellers' suitability for future whole-of-government digital and ICT arrangements.

TechnologyOne’s Chief Executive Officer, Ed Chung, said “The Government’s recognition of the importance of encouraging sovereignty and resilience, local tech growth, R&D and Australian-owned intellectual property using the Government’s own buying power is both important and welcome.

“The new principles governing future whole of government procurement arrangements with large tech suppliers, called Co-ordinated Contracting Arrangements, are a leap forward from the old Single Seller Agreements.

“TechnologyOne and many other Australian tech companies have for many years argued the SSAs have locked Australian providers out of many opportunities by providing a red carpet to overseas giants, making it difficult for the Australian industry to grow.

“The Government, and DTA are to be congratulated for listening and changing tack.

“Requiring suppliers to show how they contribute real economic benefits, such as local R&D, local intellectual property, growing Australian businesses, and, critically, is subject to Australian laws, regulation and properly protects Australians’ data from overseas interference, are all very big and important steps forward.

“TechnologyOne looks forward to working with the Government and the DTA to turn these principles into practice.”
