TechnologyOne Launches Team Australia Fund

Leading enterprise software provider TechnologyOne has launched the Team Australia Fund and invited universities that have lost funding from the United States to apply.

TechnologyOne CEO Ed Chung said, “TechnologyOne is committed to supporting Australian Universities to ensure research and innovation by providing urgent funding to bridge immediate shortfalls.

“TechnologyOne is committing up to $3 million in seed funding to help safeguard research programs, and I’m pleased two other Australian tech businesses, Vault Cloud and Reason Group, have agreed to join us in offering to assist affected university research programs,” Mr Chung said.

“Australia is already facing a national research and development crisis, with investment falling to record low levels. The loss of funding from the US and the uncertainty it creates for people can only discourage young Australians from building a career in research unless we step up and respond.

“As a proud Australian company, we feel a responsibility to support our community during this critical time. This moment calls for a Team Australia response - to protect our research infrastructure, jobs and long-term economic resilience,” Chung said.

“Australian universities are world leaders in research and innovation. We could not stand by and watch, so we’ve acted to provide at least some continuity for both staff and students. We hope others will do the same.”
