What is agentic AI?

Agentic AI represents the next generation of artificial intelligence — systems capable not only of analysing information but also of acting on it.

Unlike traditional or generative AI, which provides static responses, agentic AI can plan and complete tasks independently to achieve a defined goal.

Plus does much more than merely deliver information. It can take meaningful action, such as preparing regular reports.

Is Plus the same as generative AI or ChatGPT?

Both generative AI and agentic AI rely on large language models, but their purpose and behaviour are very different. Generative AI merely produces content — such as text, summaries, or reports — in response to a prompt, and its role ends there.

How does Plus work?

Plus is a single interface from which you can interact with your entire TechnologyOne product suite. Simply ask Plus a question and it uses agentic AI to understand your request, determine the data it needs, surface insights, and take action.

Whether you ask a question or give a command by text or voice, Plus identifies context, engages the right agents, and completes the task in real time. It can approve workflows, prepare reports, raise requisitions, or surface insights, all through one natural conversation.

Plus continuously learns from usage patterns to provide faster, more accurate results. The more TechnologyOne products you have, the more powerful Plus becomes — drawing from your enterprise data to anticipate needs and deliver meaningful outcomes.

Keeping it simple

Unlike many AI pricing models built around confusing token systems, Plus uses a simple, conversation-based approach. Ask a question or make a request, get an answer. Clear, intuitive, and easy to understand. A conversation is an input and a response — for example, asking Plus to perform a task or answer a question. Even if that request activates multiple AI agents behind the scenes, it’s still counted as one conversation.

Customers receive 1,000 conversations per month with their Plus licence. Extra conversations are available at a small per-use rate, and you can keep track of your usage in real time via our new Customer Hub.

What can you use Plus for?

Instead of navigating multiple screens or workflows, you can speak or type a question or command, and Plus will take care of the rest in seconds!

You can, for example, ask Plus to check your team’s leave balances and automatically send an email to staff who need to take time off. You can report an item in need of repair or replacement, request a new work order, and Plus will generate it, check for duplicates, assign it to the right asset, and track progress for you.

Or you can ask for a summary of recent meetings and documents, and Plus will return clear, concise takeaways ready to share.

Plus requires no configuration or training to get started. It’s highly-intuitive, and available as long as you meet the software requirements (see FAQs below). Once activated, it’s ready to go!
